Tranexamic acid for the skin can act as a brightening agent to reduce dark spots and improve hyperpigmentation. Tranexamic acid inhibits the synthesis of melanin (skin pigment) and the transfer of pigment to the topmost layer of the skin. Since melasma happens when skin cells produce too much melanin, this makes tranexamic acid an ideal way to counteract dark patches on the skin.

 

Organic White Rose Hydrosol 

comes to us from artisan distillers who specialize in cultivating, harvesting, and extracting this lovely flower. With beautiful rosy notes that are soft and delicate, this hydrosol offers a lighter floral scent than a Rosa damascena distillate.

White rose hydrosol is a popular single ingredient facial toner for all skin types and is often seen in formulas for dry or mature skin. With a sensual scent that is associated with love and the heart, white rose hydrosol promotes closeness and emotional balance. It makes a rich base for room or linen sprays, adds rosy floral notes to water-based perfumes, and can be used as a water substitute in your favorite body care formulas.

 

Organic Rose Hydrosol

A true classic! Humanity has been deeply entwined with the rose for millennia, and cultivation is thought to have begun over 5,000 years ago. Roses have long been symbolic of love, nobility, and sacrality. Our organic rose hydrosol has a rich and heady aroma reminiscent of lush blooms opening in the early summer to uplift your senses.

Some of our favorite uses for this luxurious spray are in face masks, as an indulgent body spray, or added to a soothing bath. Rose hydrosol is great for all skin types and is especially favored as a toner by those with sensitive or mature skin. This rose hydrosol is splendid alone or combined with other hydrosols such as rose geranium or lavandin.

 

Organic Rosemary Hydrosol 

Organic rosemary hydrosol is a refreshing botanical water that has a slight spice and herbal brightness to its scent. This hydrosol is a wonderful skin and hair toner and may be used in place of water when formulating body care recipes.

Humanity has been utilizing rosemary for many millennia, with references carved on stone tablets appearing as early as fifth century BCE in Sumer. Rosemary has long been used as an ancestral offering and is still known today for supporting memory and mental alertness.

Organic rosemary hydrosol has the gentle spicy character of fresh rosemary and is lovely alone as a subtle body splash or included in skin care formulations. It is helpful to support the skin with minor irritations and is a lovely scalp or hair mist.

 

Alpha Arbutin  

Has sun protection properties: derived from the bearberry plant, can reduce the degree of skin darkening after sun exposure by blocking the production of tyrosinase.Gentle on skin: While other skin brightening agents can dry and irritate skin, alpha arbutin is less irritating.

Improves uneven complexion: Since alpha arbutin inhibits tyrosinase, an enzyme that helps with melanin production, it can prevent dark spots or even help fade them, leading to a more even complexion.

Fades dark spots: If you have dark spots from sun exposure or age, alpha arbutin can help fade their appearance.

Safe to use with other skincare products: There are no known negative interactions between alpha arbutin and other skincare ingredients.

Can be used twice daily: For maximum results, alpha arbutin can be used both in the morning and at night.

Effective at fading scars: Much like its ability to fade dark spots, alpha arbutin is also great at fading those red-purple acne scars that stick around long after a zit is gone.

 

Sodium hyaluronate 

As a derivative of hyaluronic acid, sodium hyaluronate has similar benefits to HA. It’s been proven to:

-Moisturize the skin

Sodium hyaluronate is hydrophilic, meaning it easily mixes with water.

When applied topically, it attracts moisture in skin cells. This reduces dryness and flaking by increasing skin hydration.

Compared to high molecular weight HA, sodium hyaluronate can provide a greater hydrating effect. This is due to its low molecular weight.

-Reduce appearance of wrinkles

Dry skin makes fine lines and creases more noticeable. But as sodium hyaluronate hydrates the skin, it improves the appearance of wrinkles, decreased wrinkle depth and improved elasticity.

-Reduce skin inflammation

Sodium hyaluronate can also soothe skin inflammation.

According to some study, low molecular weight HA promotes the production of beta-defensin 2 (DEFβ2,) a compound that promotes tissue healing. It also controls the activity of inflammatory cells.
